GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING MINUTES:

The last meeting was the Christmas Meeting and the next meeting will be at Competition Racing on February 12th.

 

Jack Buecker discussed the calendar of events since Doug Schwegman was in Florida.  He asked the members present to circle the events that they would like to attend.  This is in addition to the events already planned.  The idea is to have at least one event per month.  Jack mentioned that it is still up in the air where we will have our meetings since the former Roadhouse is no longer an option since they would not agree to give individual checks for the dinners.  The next meeting is at Performance Corvette on Feb. 12th and the March 11th meeting is at Competition Racing.  The April 8th meeting is at Kerry Chevrolet and April 20th will be the trip to Keeneland.  He mentioned that Walt’s Hitching Post is being considered for future meetings.  Jack asked for individuals to mark down if they would agree to be a sponsor which means that they would be in charge of an event.  He also asked that it is not too early for individuals to volunteer for the car show.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

 

TREASURER’S REPORT, MEMBERSHIP & WEBSITE NEWS:

Jon reported we have $3761 in the treasury.  We have 78 paid members which is 16 less than last year.  Normally we pick up members in the spring.  The calendar information is on the website.  If you click on the event there will be a link for more details of the event.  He also listed last year’s events for new members to see what we did last year.  Jon mentioned that he has 90 available email addresses and all you need to do is give him the name you would like to use before ‘@NKYVETTE.COM’ and give him a password you would like to use.

 

SECRETARY’S REPORT:

Charley Goettsch stated that because of key people being on vacation the next two months that most members would only be receiving an email of ‘The Vette Gazette’ instead of a hard copy but they would also receive the voice shot.  His goal is to eliminate the mailings except for people that do not have email addresses to save the $0.41/mailing.  This will be reviewed in three months to determine if there is a major objection.

 

There was no ‘Dented Hubcap Award’ and we forgot to do the ‘Split-the-Pot’
