Doug Schwegman opened the meeting with the introduction of Matt Stansberry who is one of the founding members of the Queen City chapter of the NCRS. Doug and Matt spoke briefly about an important NCRS event on September 22-23rd at kings Island Inn.

Attending the September meeting were: Doug and Jesse Schwegman, Jon Hanas, Pat and Jim Bischoff, Gary Benke, Jay Deerwester, Gene Cochran, Mike and Mary Jo Studder, Steve Waldenmeyer, Jack and Susan Buecker, Kurt Meier, Stan and Rita Bond, Wayne Alexander, Nick Lucarelli, Janet and Robert Casey, Greg and Melinda Lloyd, Chuck O’Bryant, Marshall Hutcheson, Larry Morgan and Miriam and Jim Spaeth,

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Doug recapped the car show and thanked Gene Cochran as the show’s chairperson and discussed a number of issues relating to next years car show, but since we’re all a little short on logn term memory, maybe it’d be better to let that recap wait till next May 07 or so! In addition to all that wrap-up business, Dr. Julia Carter was present to accept the $7,000 check and mentioned that it would be used to fund Prostate Cancer research.

TREASURER’S REPORT, MEMBERSHIP & WEBSITE NEWS: Jon reported that the club has a total of ninety-two paid members and has a balance of $4,156.50 on hand. (Can you say Toga Party?)

SECRETARY’S REPORT: Ditto the pattern of the past year. Read it and weep.

NEW BUSINESS No new business was discussed.

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT:

Kurt covered the Campbell Boy’s Home Corvette Run / Picnic which was organized by Stan and Rita Bond. It was a great turnout with a few more Corvettes than boys! As Stan pointed out, this annual event is a real high point in the boy’s year at the home.

Good works aside, several members got new rides including Doug “the wheel” Schwegman who traded in that nasty old red 2006 C6 for a triple black convertible! In addition, Stan and Rita Bond now sport a ‘07 Monterey Red convertible (with auto top) and Suzie and Don Turner snatched up a White Convertible!

DENTED HUBCAP AWARD: Nick Lucarelli again received the dented demon for …well heck in truth for nothing! We just got lazy and since we had nobody else to pick on, we just let him keep it.

SPLIT-THE-POT:  We don’t know why, but we didn’t have one this month. Does that mean next month we get to keep the whole pot?
