GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING MINUTES:

The March meeting was held at The Roadhouse. The April meeting will also be held at there at 7:30 on April 11, but remember you’re always welcome to join the usual dinner group from 6:00 on!

President Doug Schwegman called the March meeting to order and opened the meeting with a comment that the Club made the Show “n” Shine Magazine with a mention of our August 19 car show.  He also mentioned that we are having flyers prepared for availability at the April meeting so that we can hand them out at cruise in’s and other auto events that we attend between now and August.

Attending the meeting were: Wayne Alexander, Chuck O'Bryant, Jack Buecker, John Trull, Jim & Pat Bischoff, Gary Roberts, Gary Benke, Kurt Meier, Bill Hengstebeck, Doug Schwegman, Jay Deerwester, Jim Mason, David Leachman, Dean Cochran, Tom Welch, Jim Strine, Gary Dirr, Marshal Hutcheson, Robert Fincken, Eddie Fincken, Jim Spaeth, Rod Russell, Barbara Lohn, Steve Seibert, Charles Griffin, Stan Bond, Greg and Melinda Lloyd and Nic Lucarelli.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Doug discussed the fact that we need an official car-show chairperson (as opposed to a non-official one I guess). Seriously, Doug pointed out that the chair really is a coordinating position, rather than a situation where the chair does all the work. There are already standing volunteers to undertake registration, parking, classification and scoring. What we need is a BOSS. C’mon. Cowboy up J !!

TREASURER’S REPORT, MEMBERSHIP & WEBSITE NEWS: Jon was off laundering the Club’s money in Florida, so we had to do without a report. Jon was reported to have said, “Trust me … We have some money”.

SECRETARY’S REPORT: Jay was there, and as usual made no report, but did report that she now has a new Spec Stage II clutch and a six speed with all six speeds!

VICE PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Kurt covered a range of upcoming events to include:

4/20    C5-C6 Bash Weekend. Organized by Jim and Miriam Spaeth

4/23    Keeneland Outing. Organized by Jon and Kathy Hanas

4/30    Founder’s Day Rally and golf outing. Organized by Doug Schwegman and Kurt Meier

5/??   Covered Bridge road rally. Organized by Rod Russell

6/11   Valley Vineyard’s Road Rally. Organized by Bill Hengstebeck

7/4     Ft Thomas Parade. Organized by Doug and Jesse Schwegman

8/6    Campbell County Rally and Pool Party. Organized by we forgot!

8/19  Wood Hudson car Show at Tom Gill Chevrolet. Organized by (Chairperson needed)

9/??  Campbell Boy’s Home Corvette Run / Picnic. Organized by Stan and Rita Bond

ACTIVITIES:  Jim Spaeth mentioned the C5 C6 Bash and reminded everyone that Hotel Reservations are now available individually since the ones he was holding had to be relinquished.

NEW BUSINESS: Nada, Zip, no discussion!

DENTED HUBCAP AWARD: Since we had no new victim … err deserving recipient, it was decided that Dr. Jim Spaeth would retain the prestigious Dented Hubcap Award, as acknowledgement of his outstanding effort at the Go Cart track where he was black flagged not once, but twice. Nice going Jimbo.

SPLIT-THE-POT: At $50, it was won by Marshal Hutcheson.
