GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING: The fourth meeting of the year was held on Tuesday, April 12h at the Road House. The next meeting will be May 10 at the  Road House in Cold Springs as well.

The meeting was called to order by the president, Doug Schwegman, at 7:30 PM.  Doug welcomed the spouses (who don’t regularly attend) and true to our word, we were all on our best behavior. With that bit of pleasantry out of the way, Doug then welcomed the following new members: Jack and Joann Hoerlein, Jim and Barb Danehy and Jay Yelton. In addition we welcomed a returning prodigal in Rod Russell. And finally, Ron Clampett, who was a guest of  Nick Lucarelli. With all the hubbub we forgot to find out what models our new members drive, but we’ll check them out next meeting weather permitting.

Those attending the meeting: Doug and Jesse Schwegman, Kurt Meier, Jay and Rick Deerwester, Jon Hanas, Susie and Don Turner, Wayne Alexander, Gene Cochran, Nick Lucarelli, Stan and Rita Bond, Jim and Miriam Spaeth, Greg and Melinda Lloyd, Ed Pelley, Gary and Judy Benke,  Jim Mason, Bill Hengstebeck, Gary Roberts, Marshall Hutchinson, Jack Buecker, Jim Hackmann,  Mark Works, Eddie Fincken, Bob Fincken, Charlie and Dorothy Goettsch, Jim and Mary Jean Strine, Joann and  Jack Hoerlein, John Trull, Jim and Barb Danehy, Ron Russell, Loretta Riley,  Dorothy South,  Jim and Pat Bishoff, Charles Griffin, John Betsh  and Rhett Baird.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Doug turned the meeting over to Dave Davison from Tire Discounters who gave a presentation about wheels and tires available for Corvette’s. He the discussed the benefits of Nitrogen Inflation and discounts that were available to the club members, He closed by giving away about a dozen hats and shirts. Then Kurt took over and gave us a brief overview of coming events. Chief among them, he emphasized that everyone should mark their calendar for August 27. That is the date of the Car show which will be held at Tom Gill Chevrolet and where we will also celebrate our tenth anniversary.

TEASURERS REPORT:    John Hanas reported that like a great Ponzi scheme, we are profitable with income of $850.52 and expenses of  $574.84. That activity was reflected in an increase in our bank balance to $5,174.26. We now have 93 paid members.

SECRETARY’S REPORT: Jay Deerwester reported (once again) that her report was in the minutes and predicts that the same will be true next month. (Dejavu?)
