GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING, October12, 2004:

President Doug Schwegman called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Doug Schwegman introduced new members present. Ron & Connie Adams, Jack Buecker and Wayne Alexander. He asked if there was anyone present that wanted to run for office. No new nomination were made so Stan Bond purposed that the current slate be elected by a show of hands and Susie Turner seconded and all present voted in favor of Doug Schwegman for President, Kurt Meier for Vice President, Jay Deerwester for Secretary and Jon Hanas for Treasurer, Web Master and Membership Chairman.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Steve Waldenmeyer reported that he was still getting all the information together about the Car Show and would report at the November meeting about the money raised for Wood Hudson.

SECRETARY’S REPORT & WEBSITE NEWS: Jon Hanas reported- That the invoices for 2005 dues went out on October 1st and that we have 105 members. He also recapped the Keeneland trip from the past Sunday the 10th. We had 8 cars and 16 people attending. The weather was perfect after a rainy Saturday. There were no big winners but there weren't any big losers either so a good time was had by all.

VICE PRESIDENT’S /ACTIVITIES REPORT: Kurt Meier Reported- A date, time and location for this years Christmas Party will be announced at the November meeting. Rick Deerwester asked if there would be any interest in an autocross driving school in the spring. Quite a few members said that it sounded like fun and Rick said he would look into it and report back. Doug Hillman has 18 rooms reserved in Detroit for the C6-Z06 unveiling on January 14-16, 2005 at the International Auto Show. Any members that are interested should contact him.

DENTED HUB CAP AWARD: Jesse Schwegman beat out Rick Deerwester and Rich Rolfes for the "Dented Hub Cap Award" this month because she had to wear borrowed  boots to tour the Corvette plant when she and Doug went to Bowling Green to see their new C6 Vette being built.
