GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING , November 11,2003:

President Doug Schwegman called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

PRESIDENT’S REPORT: Doug Schwegman welcomed our newest member Bart Beers of Petersburg, KY. He is the proud owner of a 2001 Millennium coupe.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Steve Waldenmeyer reported that our current balance is $6,629.63. The increase was generated from the 2004 dues received since the October Meeting.

SECRETARY’S REPORT & WEBSITE NEWS: Jon Hanas reported that 100 invoices were mailed out and that 83 had been paid to date and one new member, Bart Beers, made our membership 84. That is 30 more than last year at this time. He also reported on changes to the web site and that he planed to add a "For Sale" section. The clothing section has been updated with photos and prices for the new club clothing.

VICE PRESIDENT’S /ACTIVITIES REPORT: Kurt was absent so Doug conducted the activities report.

Lawrenceburg Go Cart Event-October 18, 2003. Steve Waldenmeyer is graciously hosting the Go Cart Track Event at 11:00 AM. This event is the first of its kind and is promising to be a great event. Steve reported that they had 6 drivers and a good time was had by all. He suggested that due to the short duration of the event it would make a good kick off for a future road tour.

Kentucky Speedway-November 8, 2003. Jim Freiermuth is sponsoring drive the track event at the Kentucky Speedway. For more information check out the NKYVETTE.com. 27 cars caravaned from Florence to the speedway and all agreed that it was a real hoot to be on the track at those speeds. Certain members, that shall remain nameless, claimed speeds in excess of 120 MPH.

Hocking Hills Run-November 9, 2003. Gary Benke reviewed the run which 7 cars attended.

Vette Fest-Chicago-Nov. 22-23, 2003: Doug reminded the members about this event and to contact Kurt Meyer if they were interested in attending.

Christmas Party- December 10, 2003. President Doug was announced that the Christmas Party would be held at the Highland County Club, Fort Thomas, Kentucky, on December 10, 2003, with cocktails at 6:00 p.m. Please review the attached flyer and RSVP by November 26.

NEW BUSINESS:

Clothing: Dorothy South displayed the new club sweater($30) and a "Corvette" sweat shirt ($14) that she had in stock as well as the white golf shirts($25).

Future Events: Winter road trips were discussed including the National Corvette Museum, the Detroit Auto Show, Jan 10-19, Tom Gill Chevrolet and other possible sites for the January, February and March meetings.

Elections: James Mason, head of the nominating committee, reported that all the current board members were willing to serve for another year and that there were no new nominations. Doug asked if there were any nominations from the floor and there were none. A motion was made for the current board to serve for another year and the motion was passed and seconded.

DENTED HUB CAP AWARD: Bob Wolfe was given the award for passing the Cobra on the Kentucky Speedway at the "Drive the Track" event on November 8, 2003.

SPLIT-THE-POT: Jim Spaeth won $41.

The meeting was adjourned at 8:30 PM.
