Jeff Sluder is the departing treasurer, who could not be at the meeting because his father-in-law had passed away. The Club thanked him for his year of service and the great job he did. Doug will present him with a token of the club’s appreciation.
Doug was asked about the availability of Ft. Thomas Corvette Club windshield stickers for member’s cars and Jon Hanas announced that he had the stickers and passed them out to those that needed them.
TREASURER’S REPORT: Steve informed the Club that the treasury has a balance of $4,447.54. He expects to receive $700.00 advertising revenue.
SECRETARY’S REPORT & WEBSITE NEWS: Jon reported that the Club has 68 paid members. We have approximately 11-C1’s, 4-C2’s and 13-C3’s, 16-C4’s and 25-C5’s. Please complete and return the enclosed "Information" sheet so we can get an accurate count of the kind of cars in the club. Currently we are not sure of the total number or what year and model each member has. We are going to use this information to make new name badges and membership cards. The web site now has a free "Hits Tracker" at the bottom of the page that gives the number of visitors to the site. 30% of the hits to date were people using search engines to locate a club. The other 70% typed in www.nkyvette.com to get to the site so we assume they are members or knew of the site from some other source.
VICE PRESIDENT’S /ACTIVITIES REPORT: Kurt, N.C.M representative, has tickets available for the four Museums 2003 raffles. Kurt further informed the members that he is the Northern Kentucky coordinator for the 50th Anniversary Caravan in June, and as part of that caravan, he has 50th Anniversary Caravan window flags at $15.00 each and a Caravan decal for $10.00.

Tom Keen gave an update on the Caravan. Darrell Bono informed Tom that they are expecting between 300 to 500 cars to come through Cincinnati on Wednesday, June 25, from Michigan, Pennsylvania, and New York. Keen Parts & Performance Plus Corvettes are sponsoring a luncheon stop on June 25. The Caravan will then continue on I-275 to the Grand Victoria Casino for an overnight stop. Darrell Bono, from the Hamilton Club, told Tom that Grand Victoria is going to have 175 rooms reserved and the overflow are going to be accommodated at other hotels in the Lawrenceburg area. The numbers are growing daily. Tom Keen is encouraging Grand Victoria to turn this into an event, like a cruise-in or car show, so the public can bring street rods and other types of cars to the event. The next morning, Thursday June 26, the Caravan will cross the Ohio River and arrive at the Kentucky Speedway mid morning. Chevrolet has the track rented for the day and for a $10.00 donation, any member of the Caravan can take his car for one lap of the track. We are working withTom Gill Chevrolet to have a combined presence at the track since we are the local host club. Details on that later. The Caravan will leave the Speedway and continue to Nashville that afternoon. At this point, all local participants should join the Caravan.
Doug Schwegman reported that Mid-Ohio is having an event on June 20-22, the weekend before the Caravan, and Corvette is the feature car. This is a fun event for anyone who would like to run up there for the day. Another event this year is the Concours d’Elegance sponsored by the Arthritis Foundation . Corvette will be the featured car this year because of the 50th Anniversary and we are investigating ways to get the club and Tom Gill Chevrolet involved. This event is on Sunday, June 8. More details, as they become available
