GENERAL MEMBERSHIP MEETING March 12, 2002:

President Doug Schwegman called the meeting to order at 7:30 PM.

COMMITTEE REPORTS:

PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
Doug Schwegman-Greeted the members in attendance and thanked them for coming.
He then asked the new members to introduce themselves. They were: Rick Deerwester of Union, Ky with a 1996 Gray Convertible, Thomas Jones of Wilder, Ky with a 2001 Millenium Yellow Convertible, Joe Sanders of Ft. Wright, KY with a 2002 Electron Blue Coupe and Jeff Dean (a former member) of Taylor Mill, Ky with a 1965 Blue Coupe.
Doug then introduced Gary Mulligan and Joe Amon from the Charles E. McCormick Area Technology Center. Mr. Mulligan announced that he has been at the A.T.C. for 26 years and that he was contemplating retirement. He thanked the Club for donating to the A.T.C.’s Scholarship Funds and briefly detailed the accomplishments of some of the graduates that went on to use the scholarship grants to broaden there education. Gary added that one of his students might be his successor. Gary praised the president, Joe Amon, for his innovative leadership during his three-year tenure. Mr. Mulligan thanked the members that attended last years A.T.C. Cruisin’ 2001 and announced that Cruisin’ 2002 would be on Saturday, April 20, 2002 from 12 to 5 PM.

TREASURER’S REPORT:
Jeff Sluder reported-The current bank balance is $2,668.88. We took in $160.00 last month in dues and split the pot and paid out $51.27 for newsletter expenses and reimbursement for dues overpayments making a positive cash flow of $108.53.

SECRETARY’S REPORT & WEBSITE NEWS
: Jon Hanas reported- this was the second month for distributing most of the newsletters via e-mail and he asked if there were any problems. He also announced that there were numerous additions and updates to the web site and suggested that the members browse the site periodically for new information. An events calendar is now available from March through July 2002 and the months can be printed directly off the web site. For those without Internet access, two months of activities, the current month, March and the following month, April, will be included with the newsletter. Jon reminded everybody that a current Roster and "Phone-A-Friend" list was available and should be used to advise members of approaching events or changes in dates or times.

VICE PRESIDENT’S /ACTIVITIES REPORT: Doug reported in Kurt’s absence: Doug reviewed the 2002 calendar from March through July.

Noon to 5 PM. Campbell County Middle School.
April 28, Founders Day:
Cruise to Kurt’s cottage for a picnic and party.
April 28, Sharonville Car Show:
Suggested by Bill Hengstebeck.
May 10 & 11, Kentucky Speedway:
USAC & ARCA racing. Opening weekend.
May 14, Club Meeting:
7:30 PM Cold Spring Roadhouse.
May ?, Frisch’s Cruise-ins:
Doug is still negotiating with the managers at the Ft. Thomas location.

NEW BUSINESS:
Stan Bond agreed to be Membership Chairman.
Doug encouraged all members to participate in events and to suggest or sponsor events of interest to them. Club clothing can be ordered through Dan Aseere.

DENTED HUB CAP AWARD:
No one won the award although Bob Adams tried to get the award for his parents, who were involved in an accident in Florida, but was not convincing enough. Jeff Sluder promised to bring the "Dented Hub Cap" to the next meeting.

SPLIT-THE-POT:
The winners half of the $65.00 pot was won by Stan Bond. Again!
