COMMITTEE REPORTS:
PRESIDENT’S REPORT:
Doug Schwegman reported-
Doug introduced the new officers of the club for 2002 Jon Hanas, Secretary and Jeff Sluder, Treasurer.
The former officers, Stan and Rita Bond and Dorothy South were also recognized and thanked for their service from the previous years.

Cold Springs Roadhouse will continue to be the meeting place of the Club, thanks to the support of the owner, Ron Rosen. The February meeting will be February 12, at 7:30 PM, at the Cold Springs Roadhouse.

Doug emphasized that the purpose of this meeting was to begin planning the 2002 calendar of events; specifically, planning monthly activities to get the Corvettes out on the road without conflicting with other car events such as Bloomington Gold, etc. The members were invited to suggest activities for the upcoming months, and encouraged to make suggestions as to the frequency of events, best day of the week, i.e., Saturday or Sunday, rallies, parades, shows, tours, charities., etc. Please share your ideas and your coordinating talents with the club! Doug recommended that a committee be formed to start working on the calendar.

The Frisch’s Cruise Ins were discussed as regards to there continued success or interest. Some members felt that the cruise-ins should be weekly as opposed to monthly and should appear in the Show and Shine Calendar to generate more interest. Doug will look into these possibilities with the management at Frisch’s and the Show and Shine calendar.

The president recognized our advertisers and their support of this club---specifically Keen Parts and Kerry Chevrolet. He reminded everyone about GM’s new $2002 in 2002 rebate program. Now is the time to buy a GM car or truck.

TREASURER’S REPORT: Jeff Sluder reported-the expenses and receipts for December. Despite a negative cash flow in December, Jeff assured the members that we still have a positive bank balance. His report was accepted by the membership and turned over to the president.

SECRETARY’S REPORT & WEBSITE NEWS: Jon Hanas reported-
There were no minutes from December, as the Christmas Party was held in lieu of a regular meeting.
However, Jon reported that the web site (
www.nkyvette.com ) has been updated with some help from his son. He intends to add new features to the calendar and more content to the front page. Regarding distribution of the newsletter, Jon recommended that members with E-mail addresses no longer receive mailings, but receive their newsletter by E-mail. Members can easily obtain a printed copy of the current newsletter either from the web site or their e-mail. This would eliminate unnecessary expense associated with mailings. Doug reminded all those present to provide their e-mail addresses to Jon at crisis@nkyvette.com
