No general membership meeting was held in December due to the Christmas Party.

Our president, Doug Schwegman, thanked the board members for the great job they did during the past year. Also, thanks to Bob Adams, who shows up at all our events with the club’s flag Some of the events we tried to plan this past year did not come to pass, but we were able to have some events that showed support for the community such as the Wood Hudson Cancer Research Fund, the Campbell Lodge Home Run, Toys for Tot Run and the New York Relief Fund.

Kurt Meier thanked Dorothy South for all the volunteer jobs she did this past year especially for chairing the first car show for the club. She was given a beautiful clock in appreciation for all her hard work. Stan and Rita Bond received a lovely vase for taking care of the newsletter this past year.

Kurt gave Doug Schwegman, our president, a hanger on which he will be able to put his new jacket from the club when it arrives. Hopefully, the jacket will be delivered within the next week and Doug can wear it to the January meeting.

We are looking forward to another great year in 2002. Our next meeting will be held on Tuesday, January 8 at the Cold Springs Roadhouse. We welcome the two new members to the Board. They are Jeff Sluder as treasurer and Jon Hanas as secretary. Kurt Meier is trying to put together a road trip for February 2002. Come to the meeting and show your support for our club and spend some time with all the other Corvette enthusiasts.

Dented Hub Cap Award – We cannot let a month go by without giving this award to someone who earned it. Our friend, Bob Adams had a blind date via the Internet. They seemed to hit if off, and she invited Bob back to her place. Bob got directions to her house, but when he got in his corvette, the car would not start and she had all ready left. To make a long story short, Bob got to Kerry Chevrolet with his car at 4am, but the gates were locked. Bob slept in his car until 5:30 when someone let him in the customer lounge. The good thing about the evening was Bob found out he had a bad starter in the car and the car is still under warranty. Needless to say, he has not seen the young lady again. We think this is the fifth time Bob has received this prestigious award. We are looking forward to 2002 so we can continue giving this award and enjoy Bob’s adventures with his beautiful corvette.
