VICE PRESIDENT’S /ACTIVITIES REPORT: Kurt Meier

=====================================================================

Although Kurt is on vacation he has asked Doug to mention that the NCRS if having a meeting at the Kentucky Speedway on July 17. One of the features of this meeting is that they have contracted with Richard Petty, who is having a driving school there, and for $100.00 you can take three laps with a driver at 170 mph. It doesn’t mean you can drive at 170 mph but you can sit in the right seat and experience 170 mph left hand turns for three laps. If interested you need to get your money to Kurt as soon as possible. They need a minimum of 20 people for this project.

DENTED HUB CAP AWARD – We have two candidates to consider for the award this month. The first one is Dan Aseere who was playing golf and broke his foot and will be on crutches for 6-8 weeks. The second one is Cliff Barber who was working on his Corvette and accidentally hit his forehead with a tool and ended up with eight stitches in his forehead. Cliff won this award and although he was unable to attend the meeting we will make sure he receives the dented hub cap before the next meeting.

SPLIT THE POT: Picked by John Littrell and won by Bob Adams - $14.50 Congratulations

CLOTHING COMMITTEE: Our new hat, club shirt, and wind shirt can be ordered through Dan Aseere or Jon Hanas.
