Bardstown Run and Whiskey City Cruise-In

Saturday June 9, 2007

We will meet at the I-75 rest area just south of Florence at 12:30pm and plan on leaving at 1:00 pm.

We will take I-75 South to I-71 South. Then we will proceed west on I-264 to St Rt 155. We will then take 155 to Sr Rt 55. From there we will follow St Rt 55 to US 62 West which will take us into Bardstown. Travel time is approx 2.5 hours including a short stop.

We will spend 2.5-3 hours at the Whiskey City Cruise-In. Don’t forget to bring your folding chairs!

After leaving the Cruise-In we will dine at Kurtz Restaurant directly across from My Old Kentucky Home State Park. We should be done around 7:30 –8:00 pm.

There are two events occurring that night in Bardstown. It is opening night for the musical “My Old Kentucky Home”. If you are interested in attending you can call 800-626-1563 for more information. Also Bardstown Motor Speedway will have their normal Saturday night racing program of Late Model and Modified Stock cars. I am sure there will be plenty of tickets available for this event.

You can return home by reversing our route down, or you can take St Rt 245 to I-65 North to I-264 East to I-71 North.
